MicroWorlds

Drawing a Scene

As mentioned on the previous page an easy way to learn about MicroWorlds is to begin with drawings.

Use the Drawing Center tools to draw on the background, set the turtle's pen size and pen color, and program colors. Click on the drawing tool in the Tool Palette to open the Drawing Center. To close the Drawing Center, click on one of the other Center icons.

The drawing tools are on the left, followed by the undo tool, the pen size selection, and the colors. There are 10 shades for each of the 14 colors, plus black and white. Use the scroll bar to see lighter and darker shades.

Now redo the colour fill for the hill and countryside. Do not do the sky just yet.

We will add some clouds to the sky by selecting the spray can and a light shade of gray. Don't fill the sky.
